Paris Fashion Week S/S 2012 RTW: Elie Saab
Elie Saab’s runway presentations—whether they be his couture line or ready-to-wear—are always one of my very favorites to look at. The red-carpet-worthy gowns, the perfect tailoring, the on-trend colors and embellishment…I can’t think of a time that I have disliked one of his collections. His latest is no exception. His theme for the collection was “Color Shock” which can be seen in the bright gemstone hues he selected, other than the pearly whites that opened the show. For evening sequins were popular but I also liked the 70s/vintage Halston vibe of the unembellished dresses (as seen in the yellow, orange and green above). I’m sure we’ll be seeing many looks from this collection come awards season!
Brave choice of color for this season’s collection!
